Ever dreamed of being the next Jamie Oliver? Well now's your chance! The unique cafe used for the beloved TV show Jimmy & Jamie's Friday Night Feast will soon be available to rent.
Interested parties are being sought for the famous cafe, situated at the end of the longest pier in the world, in Southend-on-Sea. The cafe - initially used only as a set for the hit show - became a fully-functioning cafe in 2019 after Southend Council made the property available for rental. It is now on the market once again, with letting agent Dedman Gray is looking for "expressions of interest for Tea Rooms/Coffee Shop premises towards the head of Southend Pier".
The Charm of the Friday Night Feast Café
The café on Southend Pier in Essex, England, is where chefs Jimmy Doherty and Jamie Oliver cooked up a storm, and has become synonymous with culinary innovation, celebrity chatter, and the comforting ambiance that only a seaside setting can offer. The rustic interiors, the panoramic views of the surrounding waters, and the signature long wooden table where Jimmy and Jamie entertained their guests — every nook of this café is steeped in the show's history and the mouth-watering recipes it introduced to the world.
The World-Famous Southend Pier
Southend Pier, a renowned landmark and celebrated icon of Southend-on-Sea, Essex, holds the distinguished title of the longest pleasure pier in the world, stretching some 1.34 miles into the estuary of the Thames River. This majestic structure, originally constructed in 1830, is steeped in rich history and stands as a testament to the architectural ingenuity and seaside amusement heritage of the Victorian era.
Over the years, it has undergone numerous transformations, surviving fires, boat crashes, and two World Wars, emerging each time as a resilient emblem of the town's unyielding spirit.
