MIPIM UK - 2017

MIPIM UK is the UK’s largest and most insightful property event, providing the most comprehensive conference programme in the industry.
It is the leading property summit for all key stakeholders in UK real estate.

Proplist joined the thousands of industry professionals at the event, taking part in the lively debates and attending numerous sessions and breakouts.

Our interest, as expected, was primarily concentrated on the PropTech and the Transformation of the agents debates, where the key note discussions were around how the role of the agent will have to change with the advent of new technology.

More than most we know that change is inevitable but does it all have to be bad and cannot a natural progression to working smarter be the aim? Evolution not extinction is our thought and sometimes we are seduced by the sparkle of technology, when we actually need to take a critical view of ourselves and then work smarter…with technology that supports our needs.

We also looked at the innovations that were on display and were impressed by the smarter brokerage systems (Caldes), property information (Nimbus) and, our star of the show, Boxbrownie.com, where quickly, simply and cheaply you can convert your tired images into something special.

Biggest disappointment of the show? A lack of interest in some of the amazing regional offers and several presentations, including the keynote speech on investment into the UK, where the focus was solely on London.
